[dropcap]C[/dropcap]ome from our customer xServa95. and thank you so much for your sharing.
This is one of the best amplifiers from DROK. It digs deeper in the bass and sounds clearer than 2024 amplifier. Our suggestion is that you should use the amplifier with speakers less than 60W.
TDA7297 amplifier adopts dual-channel amp chip and therefore can be power supply of direct current such as 12V battery. Its voltage range is 6-18V with 12V as recommendating operation volt and its working efficiency could be as high as 90%, quite energy-saving. If you power the amplifier with 12V motor battery, it can play continuously for more than 5 hours. With output power reaching 15W+15W and peak power being 30W+30W, this amp board is tiny in size but produces amazing sound.
Due to reasonable circuit arrangement, TDA7297 amp module has no current impact sound and static noise when it is power on. Its fine as well as smooth, soft, transparent and sweet high pitch along with its strong, full, powerful and flexible bass both contribute to its super high-quality sound.
There are wiring terminals on the board, meaning only screwdriver but not electric iron is required to achieve rapid wiring connection. Its simple and rapid connection has everything to do with two steps. Firstly, please connect the 12V wiring terminal to AC/DC 12V power supply and 3.5mm audio input signal. Secondly, you should connect output terminals of left and right channels to speakers.
Too easy to have anything with your electronic knowledge. And with the help of wiring diagram, you can get everything done. Really simply DIY amplifier, isn’t it?
This TDA7297 is designed according to standard circuit with 1.6mm-thickness and high-quality FR-4 fiberglass being used on its PCB circuit board with reasonable wiring and compact component layout. There is no current impact sound when power on and 100% without static noise. For more detailed parameters of TDA7297, please check on ST official website: TDA7297 Circuit. TDA7297 Circuit.
This TDA7297 amplifier board is equipped with heat sink and would be warm when in middle-volume.If you often use the amp in very high volume, we suggest you to replace its heat sink with larger one that could be made of aluminum. We reserve fixing holes for large heat sink on the PCB circuit board before, allowing convenient and fast installation.

Need to make a few comments here.
The DROK TDA7297 is indeed a nice audio amplifier. However, it is NOT 90% efficient as claimed. The TDA7297 I.C. is a basic analog (NOT PDM) dual bridge-type amp, which will yield 15 watts into 8 ohms each channel at 14 volts DC minimum. Less voltage will yield lower power output. These detailed specs of the TDA7297 can be verified at: http://pdf.datasheetcatalog.com/datasheet/stmicroelectronics/4813.pdf
Note: Some of these I.C. power module amps have been advertised as ‘Digital amplifiers.’ For the record, there is NOTHING digital about them. Even PWM (pulse width modulation) amps are not really digital; this is a misnomer.
Note:
Accurate power calculation is NOT done by watching a speaker cone move in and out with rap (or any other kind of) music, or just listening.
A correct method to measure and calculate RMS (not Peak) audio power output accurately, is with a single tone (usually around 1 KHz) feeding an amp under test, with its output connected to a known resistive load (like 8 ohms), and a calibrated oscilloscope. Audio signal is then increased and observed on the ‘scope, and the Peak-to-Peak sine wave voltage measured across the load at point of clipping, then calculating power as follows:
Peak-to-Peak Voltage is ÷ 2 x 0.707 squared, then ÷ load resistance.
Example:
A Peak-to-Peak sine wave voltage is 40v across 8 ohm load resistor…
40 ÷ 2 = 20
20 x 0.707 = 14.14
14.14 x 14.14 = 199.9396
199.9396 ÷ 8 = 24.99245
RMS power at 8 ohm load is 24.99245 (or 25) watts.
This method of power calculation is called V² ÷ R.
Happy Amping!

Great comments, Bob. thank you for figure out the amp professional reviews.
I just purchase two of your TDA7297 audio amplifiers 10w+10w.
I have a number of TDA7297 + Power from Amazon. All are great other than the last two. Potentiometers are defective, one channel does not work unless turned all the way up.
Dear Chris McNiel,
Thanks for writing in.
It seems you are talking abou this one. 110043
But it only has one potentiometer. We are not sure which two potentiometers you mean. Please kindly confirm if it is the correct one and let us more detail about your problem.
Best regards.
