Hello, can i measure the charge and the discharge of amp with “+” and “-” value???
Thank you.
Hello Raul Gonzalez,
Could you please tell us the ASIN of the product you are referring to?
Because not all the meter can measure the “-” value.
If you do not expect specific products, here is some recommendations for you: B019R8IFB6; B019R8JZ2O; B019R8LMDO.
These meters can measure both “+” and “-” value.
Hope this will be helpful to you.

I am interested in installing a B017BCXQ06 panel meter in a RV to monitor the battery condition. Is it possible to use a Hall Effect current sensing ring in place of the shunt to monitor amperage? Is it possible to scale the amperage readout of the meter to calibrate it to the input from the sensor? If so, what ring sensor would work?
Hello Lou,
The shunt and the Hall Effect current sensing ring are totally different current measuring components.
Therefore, the shunt cannot be replaced by the Hall Effect current sensing ring.
Hope this will be helpful to you.

I bought the B017BDQHE6 model (0-100A) with shunt to connect to my son’s Go-Kart (Razor Ground Force). I’ve followed the wiring exactly as listed, checked and double checked. The “LOAD” in my circuit in the controller. Everything powers up nicely with no load, i.e. throttle not engaged. However, once the throttle is depressed, all the digits come on and the display flashes. It reverts to ‘normal’ once the throttle is released in that it shows the correct voltage. What could be causing this, and more importantly how do I rectify this?
Hello Mac,
Thank you for writing in.
Could you please send us an email (service at droking dot com) to tell us more details of how you operate the product, such as the input voltage/current, the wiring?
If you can, we sincerely hope that you can send us some images or video to let us check the problem details.
Waiting for your reply.
Best regards
Ok. Will do.
I purchased a B014W3D1OC Digital Multimeter on Amazon. I wired it correctly to test it and it worked fine. I assembled it into a junction box with a 120V duplex outlet. I had to disconnect the wires to put it in the box, and I accidentally reversed the wires. This put 120 VAC into the CT inputs.
When I plugged it in, there was a puff of smoke and that was it.
After rewiring it correctly, the voltage reads right but the current always reads 0.91 amps and the power reads low.
I ordered a replacement at Amazon. I really like the product. I’ll probably rate it 5 stars when I receive the new one Friday. I’ll include a picture of my power meter box.
Hello Kevin Bleakley,
Thank you for your business and appreciation.
As your description, since the CT was connected to the input of the 120V AC, the CT was burnt.
And there was a puff of smoke when you plug it in, which means the meter may be burnt, too.
Please check the wiring before plugging in.
Hope this can help you.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.

Hello,
I would like to use one of your 12V DC multimeters, but I cannot find a size for the current shunt.
Can you please provide dimensions for the 50A and 100A current shunts used in the B017BDQHE6 and B017BCXQO6 products?
Also, I hope you can consider a new meter type in the future to measure + and – power (watt hours). I think at this time only choice is to use two meters with the current sensing wires reversed.
Thank you,
David H
Hi David H.,
Thank you for your message and valuable suggestion.
The dimension of the 50A/75mV shunt is 120*25*8mm (L*W*H)
The dimension of the 100A/75mV shunt id 105*22*8mm (L*W*H)
Please note that since it is handicraft operation, there may be slight error, beg your understanding.
Hope this can help you.
Best regards
Can you please email a manual for B017BDQHE6 to me?

Hi, I bought one of these: DROK® Digital Multimeter AC 80-260V 20A Voltage Amperage Power Energy meter.
I installed it correctly and it seems to function but even on a very light load (40W) the display starts to darken (black) from the left side of the screen and slowly creeps out larger and larger. The left side of the unit where it goes black also gets very warm to touch. I thought it may be because of the backlight being on and then tried it switched off but it does the same. After cooling down it displays normally again for five minutes or so and then goes black. I am using this on the load side of an inverter in my van.
Can you please tell me what is wrong?
Ian
Hello Ian,
Thank you for writing in.
This meter cannot be applied to the inverter.
Because the interference of the inverter is very large which will cause the power resistance inside of the meter severe heat and the display will become black, like your case.
If you need to apply the meter of RC Buck principle, the output of the inverter should be pure power frequency waveform (i.e., exactly the same as city power) and low interference and harmonic.
Hope this can help you.
Best regards
Hello,
I have a concern about the DROK AC 80-260V 100A LED power meter, type B015GWOT26, for sale on Amazon UK.
I have measured the resistance between the four screw terminals on this meter and found that the inner two terminals are connected together internally. So, one of the CT terminals is connected to one of the voltage input terminals. Since the meter voltage input terminals can be connected either way round to the 240V AC mains supply, if the live wire is connected to the inner terminal and the neutral wire to the outer terminal, the current transformer will be at mains potential.
Whilst the transformer appears to be well insulated, many users have complained about the CT leads being too short. They may well attempt to extend these without realizing that unless they take extreme care, they could receive a nasty shock!
Perhaps the instruction sheet should warn users about this and advise that the meter is connected to the mains supply with the live wire to the outer terminal.
Hello Ian C,
Thank you for writing in.
This meter is for high-voltage application and four terminals are with power not only the terminal which is connected to the live wire.
Therefore, the lead wires should be well insulated and not to touch the four terminals when the meter is powered on.
We will add a warm tip in the instruction sheet and the product page.
Thank you again for your valuable suggestion.
Have a nice day!
Best regards
I wish your multimeters listed the wire gauge that the terminals accepted in the descriptions.
Hello GKW,
Thank you for writing in.
The wire gauge which is equipped with the product are accepted by the terminals.
Hope this can help you.

The unit I have is SKU # 200123. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B014W3D1OC/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Hello Mark,
Thank you for your reply.
This meter cannot work for 3 phase system.
Beg your understanding.
Best regards
Thanks , I have it wired as above but only the 240 volts showing all others at 00 please advise.
Hello Macbadger,
You’re welcome.
This problem may be caused by that the wire through the current transformer is wrong.
The wire through the current transformer should be the Null (Zero) wire or the live wire of the power supply of the load.
Do not make both of them trough the transformer or make the power supply wire of the meter through the transformer.
Please check your wiring again.
If it still cannot work, please write back to us and tell us more details of your application, scuh as the load, the input voltage/current, the wiring.
It is better that you can send us some images to let us check the problem details.
You can send this information to us by email (service at droking dot com).
Hope this can help you.

I did not have the live in the ring it works now many thanks, I am monitoring the amps while on a campsite in my motorhome so I don’t overload is the unit accurate for this application?
Hello Macbadger,
As lons the measuring value ranges and the operating value ranges are within the parameters of the product, the product can be work for your application.
However, please check that if there is inverter in your application, if yes, this product cannet be used in your application.
Hope this can help you.

Hi, I bought a: DROK® Digital Multimeter AC 80-260V 20A Voltage Amperage Power Energy meter. http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B015GQOLU2. I am going to connect it to a Generic Pure Sine Wave Power Inverter 1500W DC 12V to 230V AC.
would you have a diagram showing the correct connection i should use to the inverter please.
Best Regards
John
Hello John,
Thank you for writing in.
There is a wiring diagram on the back of the meter, like the following image show.
Please note that inverter is a speciall application.
This meter can be used in high quality and low output harmonic interference pure sine wave inverter, otherwise, the meter will be burnt.
We are not clear the technical characteristic of your power inverter, so we cannot ensure if this meter can be used in your application.
Hope this can help you.

On the SKU:200139 model used to measure the current into a battery from a solar panel -via a charge controller- do i cut the negative wire to the battery terminal and put the terminal end into the top screw (marked -) and the other end into the bottom screw (marked +) and just connect the inner two screws to the battery + and – as shown on the unit. Is there a diagram?
Hello jeff,
Thank you for writing in.

Thank you! If you showed the (internal) wiring of the shunt on the ammeter diagram it would stop my confusion. Can the wires to the load be reversed or not? If not, why mark them pos and neg? My load as i said is a car battery that is being charged by solar. What will the current do when the sun goes down and the battery wants to flow back from the battery through the ammeter?? Thanks for the quick response….jeff
I meant that the CURRENT wants to flow back, sorry. I did a little test. It seems like terminals 1 and 2 are wired together and 3 and 4 similarly. I though a shunt had to go in-line?? Anyway, I put a bulb where you have the load and it lights but no current reading. But if i put the bulb between your white wire on your diagram above, and the black terminal on your diagram with the yellow clip disconnected it works. Need help…..thanks
Hello jeff,
This product has a built-in shunt, which no need to connect another shunt.
The bcurrent wants to flow back, which means the direction of the current changes to reverse direction.
This meter cannot measure current of reverse direction, so the current will display “0”.
The wires to the load cannot be reversed, otherwise, the meter will be burnt.
There is a simple wiring indication on the backside of the metes, like the following image shown:
Hope this can help you.
Best regards
Doesn’t help. My final question. Can you use this to measure the charging current going into a battery. Note – it doesn’t work if you put the battery where the load should go. Thanks
Hello jeff,
Thank you for your reply.
Yes, it can.
Could you please send us some images of your wiring to let us check the problem details?
You can send the images to us by email (service at droking dot com).
Looking forwards to hearing from you.

It’s the exact set-up as you have above but the 12v car battery replaces the green load. Before inserting your ampmeter, the 13v charging supply is connected across the battery, red to red, black to black. How to hook up?
Sharp thkignni! Thanks for the answer.
How do you connect this to a car battery to check the charging current please.
Is this really such a hard question? I’ll have to return it if no response today.

Hello,
I am helping my daughter on a school science fair project where we want to measure the current output of a solar panel. We are setting up a Arduino data logger to log the current measurements and I am looking for a digital Ammeter where it displays the current (as your products do), but I also want to have a digital out to the data logger. Do you have a meter that has a digital output or where the circuit is exposed so that I can solder a wire on the digital out pin?
Thank you for your help!
Best regards,
Paul
Hello Paul,
Thank you for your interest in our product.
We have checked our products that we do not have an ammeter with data logger.

Hello:
I have purchased ‘DROK® Digital Multimeter DC 6.5-100V 20A Voltage Amperage Power Energy Meter DC Volt Amp Testing Gauge Monitor LCD Blue Backlight Digital Display with Built-in Shunt’ from Amazon.uk to use on my boat.
I have two 12v batteries connected in parallel and would like to monitor their status. In this application are ‘The Load’ and ‘DC Supply’ connections effectively the same? Do I connect both pairs of terminals to the battery terminals?
(The same batteries are charged by an alternator on the boat engine, and by a similar DC voltage input from a solar panel controller.) Thank you for your help.
Hello Chris,
Thank you for writing in.
According to your description, the two 12V batteries are the load.
And you have mentioned that the same batteries are charged by an alternator on the boat engine and by a similar DC voltage input from a solar panel controller.
The DC supply should be the alternator on the boat engine or DC voltage input from a solar panel controller.
But we are not sure which one you used to charge for the two 12V batteries.
And is it the output of the alternator DC voltage?
If not, the alternator on the boat engine is a not suitable power supply for this application.
Hope this can help you.
Best regards
Thank you for your help. I suspect the solar power is available only when it is light, and the power from the alternator is only available when the engine is running. I will need to power the meter from the batteries. Do you suggest I connect the load terminals directly across the batteries, and find a (regulated?) 12v supply from elsewhere?
Hello Chris W,
We are not sure which kink of test you are going to do on your 12V batteries, so we cannot ensure the wiring.
If it is for charging testing, the batteries are the load and the power supply should be the power supply which is used to charge for the battery.
If it is for discharging testing, the batteries are the power supply and the load is the electric device which is used to discharge the battery.
The working Voltage is 6.5 ~ 100VDC, please use within this range.
Hope this can help you.
Best regards
i would like to monitor the state of charge of the batteries, primarily their voltage. I would like to read the meter when there is no charging (after dark, no engine). It would be useful to display the current from the solar cell too when there is daylight. Both the charging inputs from the alternator and solar cell are connected directly to the battery terminals. I would expect them to be at the same voltage as the batteries when there is no charging from either source. If I were to connect the load and DC inputs to the same pair of terminals – the meter should be powered all the time (by the batteries). When there is no charging, the voltage will be that if the batteries alone. When there is charging, the voltage would be that applied by the charging source (alternator or solar cell). Is this correct? The DC voltage will always be <20v DC.
Hello Chris W,
If for charging test, the batteries should be the load and the power supply which is used for charging for the batteries should be connected to the power supply terminals.
Do you mean the solar cell and the alternator are the power supply for the batteries?
Could you please send some images of your wiring, i.e how the solar cell and the alternator charge to the battery so we can ensure where the meter should be installed?
Best regards
Hello,
I just bought this meter:
DROK Digital Multimeter DC 6.5-100V 20A Voltage Amperage Power Energy Meter DC Volt Amp Tester Gauge Monitor LCD Digital Display with Blue Backlight Measuring Volts Current with Built-in Shunt
I connected it as you recommended to a 12V source and a 11 Ohms Resistor as load and it worked only partially. The current should be (and is) about 1A but the reading is 0.35A. Voltage is correct and power is also correct calculated.
What could be wrong?
I pressed the button a long time to adjust voltage alarms and got a display “curr 50/100”. Why not 20?
Can I set the meter to factory settings?
Hello Wolfgang,
Thank you for writing in and sorry for the inconvenience caused on you.
Could you please tell us your order ID so we can ensure the product you have purchased?
If you can, we sincerely hope that you can send us some images or video to let us check the problem details.
With your help, we can find a solution more quickly.
Look forward to hearing from you.
Best regards
How can I send images?
I don’t have any Numbers or order ID. I got the meter from Amazon as a gift from my daughter.
The problem is very simple.
At a real current of about 1A the meter shows 0.35A. What is wrong?
As I wrote earlier, with a long pressure on the button I came in the current menue with a choice of 50 / 100 A but no 20A.
But the reading is always 0.35A.
I don’t know if the meter was correct before that.
My daughter bought it from here:
https://www.amazon.de/DROK-Digital-Multimeter-Stromst%C3%A4rke-Leistung-Energie-Messinstrument-Hintergrundbeleuchtung/dp/B018I5UVXY/ref=sr_1_8/255-4270893-2498200?m=AONS7HEF348I5&s=merchant-items&ie=UTF8&qid=1482995510&sr=1-8
Wolfgang
Hello Wolfgang,
Thank you for your reply.
You can send the images to us via email (service at droking dot com ).
There is a FNSKU which is marked on the label attached on the package, the following image is the sample label:
Could you please ask your daughter for the order ID so we can ensure the product.
And for the choice of the measuring range of the meter, it is better that the measuring range of the meter is twice the real measuring range of the application, which the result will be more accurate.
Hope you can understand and look forward to hearing from you.

Hi,
I sent you an email with some photos.

I bought a 200141_EU DROK® Digital Multimeter DC 6.5-100V 100A Voltage Amperage Power Energy Meter DC Volt Amp Testing Gauge Monitor LCD Blue Backlight Digital Display with 100A/75mV External Shunt. After connecting to a 12V 120AH leisure batter in my camper van, the voltage seems to be correct, and the ammeter appears to show correctly for small current drain (for example when I have LED lights switched on). However, when a slightly larger load is applied, the device keeps restarting. The display shows all the digits and flashes repeatedly. When the larger load is removed, the unit works again. It seems that it has problems when a certain amount of load is placed on it.
For information, the problem happens when I plug in a 12v DC to 8.5v DC power adapter. The adapter is rated at 6A input at 12v, with an output of 5.65A at 8.5v. I’ve seen the unit display current values up to 5A without issue, but larger loads seem to cause a problem. The 200141_EU is rated at 100A so I’m not sure what the problem is. Could you please help.
For clarity, the Amazon item was B017NG8IMA
Ok, well, thanks for the help then.

Do you happen to have the digital version of the manual for the B017BCXQO6 available to download? I’ve looked all over the site and can’t find it. I lost mine and it would be quite helpful in remembering the options for configuring, clearing and setting values on the display.
Hello Bret,

Hello all !
I’have just purcahsed a SKU 200139 panel meter on Amazone France.
The meter looks fine, is very easy to read, and the blue back LED light is very nice. Maybe a french written translation could be offered for the French market, together with a detailed data shet?
The device will be part of an electrical dispatching/control panel onboard a sailing boat, in order to measure the batteries voltage, (V), and the instant power used, (A, W & Wh).
When connected according to your (very basic), electrical diagram, for a table test, I can read the Voltage, but not the current, (A) and naturally not the instant power (W), or energy (Wh), values.
Can you please send to me a complete connection diagram in order to clarify the situation. (at least 2 other persons are facing the exact same problem for mobile home or motor yacht
Best regards
Bernard

Hi, I bought your product KKmoon Ac80-260V and it work properly. Is it possible to add an external buzzer (i.e. Piezo Buzzer with build-in oscillating) when the alarm comes? Because screen flashing is not enough. Thanks
Hello Simone,
Thank you for your businsee.
Would you please tell us the ASIN number or product link?
We will give you an answer once confirm the item.

Sorry for late, the Amazon code is UGW5783872278201SN (see https://www.amazon.it/KKmoon-Ac80-260V-rilevamento-amperometro-multi-funzionale/dp/B01A5DOQDS). Thanks
I have ordered a Drok B017NFJHTO from Amazon UK – DC Volt/Amp/Power meter 6.5- 100V 50A for use in my motorhome. I deduce that it can be connected to show either charge or discharge current depending upon which of battery and load is taken to be DC IN and Load.
I propose to use a 2 pole changeover switch to select charge or discharge and may evolve this to automatically detect charge and discharge and change over with a relay.
I would appreciate your comments.
I’ll send details with some diagrams to your service email address.
regards
John
Hello John Bingham,
Thanks for writing in.
“DC IN” terminal is just for meter power supply, and the meter can only measur one direction of current.
Therefore, we are sorry it may can’t work as your deduction.
Best regard。
Hello All,
Regarding the unit DROK® Digital Multimeter DC 6.5-100V 20A, could you please confirm if the terminal strip will accept wires 12AWG?
Many thanks,
Diego
Hello Rob Reeves,

Hello,
I purchased item #B014W3D1OC from Amazon.com.
Would it be possible to post a diagram of how to wire with a 2 Phase 240v application (1 black wire and 1 red wire).
Unless reply post to MacBadger (at August 11, 2016 at 6:31 am) above can be used?
Also, what is the thickest gauge wire that can be used for this unit?
Thanks
Hello smik,
The wiring in last post(by MacBadger) is universal. Actually it is the same to the wiring diagram labeld on the back of meter.
We don’t limit the gauge of wire that trough the CT transformer. Regarding to the wire between meter and power supply, please use thin wire.
Best regards.
I have a 240v 20 amp outlet, with 6-20R receptacle. This is wired with two hot wires and a ground (no neutral wire). I would like to monitor current and KWh while charging my EV. Can the “LCD 4 in one meter” (B014W3D1OC) be used to do this? How would it be wired? Will it show full KWh, since the CT will only enclose one of the two hot wires?
Hello Frederick Neil Simms,
Thanks for writing in.
Yes, this CT can only have one hot wire passed throught. So you may need two meters for measuring.
Best regards.
I’m looking for a meter that will tell me when and how long power is down. I’m looking to monitor a vacation house for indications as to know when to look for possible food spoilage in the refrigerators. Will one of your meters work.
Hello Kevin Myers,
Thanks for writing in.
It’s regrett we don’t have such meter now.
For any more questions, please let us know.
Best regards.

Hello Luis Camacho,
Please try the following calibration.
1. Turn off the power supply.
2. Connecting power supply (20V/10A), shunt and load.
3. Connecting the two calibrating spots (Open the back cover, then you will find two holes which
marked by “W” on the edge of board)
4. Turn on the power supply.
5. When the screen display changed from “CAL—“ into” —PASS”, that means the calibration is finished.
Best regards.
Hi,

DROK Small Digital Multimeter DC 6.5-100V 50A Voltage Amperage Power Energy Meter DC Volt Amp Tester Watt Meter Gauge Monitor LCD Digital Display
Hi,
I just purchased 6 Drok electronic loads from your Amazon store.
https://www.amazon.com/DROK-Multimeter-Capacity-Electricity-Temperature/dp/B01FHBSTYU/ref=sr_1_8?s=lamps-light&ie=UTF8&qid=1521228040&sr=1-8&keywords=drok
According the product description section on the above Amazon website, this electronic USB load tester is compatible with any USB adapter or USB power source that is Qualcomm quick charge 2.0 compliant.
However, when I connect the electronic load to a certified Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0 USB power adapter the meter shows only 5V at whatever current I set the electronic load too which in my case is 2.0 Amps.
What I expect to happen is that the electronic load will detect the quick charge function in the connected USB adapter and then automatically switch to the highest Voltage level supported by the USB adapter power source.
I’ve tested the Drok electronic load with three different Qualcomm certified USB adapter power sources and in each case the result is the same on the OLED display of the electronic load. Only 5V at 2A.
How do I get this electronic load to work with a quick charge adapter at the higher output Voltage levels?
Please advise.
Thanks and best regards,
Chris.
Dear customer,
Thanks for writing in.
If you want it to output the specific voltage, you need to add a quick charge trigger between them.
Any more questions, please let us know.
Best regards.
I just purchased 4 of DROK Digital Multimeter AC 50-300V 20A Voltmeter Ammeter Amperage Voltage Power Factor Energy Frequency Meter Volt Amp Watt Power Gauge Monitor LCD Display Blue Backlight with Built-in Current Shunt from Amazon.
When i’m using 2 of this multimeter in my circuit its voltage reading is correct but there is something wrong in current reading. When i series the 2 built-in current shunt of a multimeter in my curcuit the current reading always have a small difference of 0.01,0.02 or 0.03 depends on the voltage source i use. Is there any chance that whenever na current go throught to your multimeter there is a current loss?
Dear Kim,
Thanks for your business.
there is no relation between input voltage and current difference.
And the difference is very small, it should be normal.
Best regards.
Can I connect the Digital Multimeter, AC 60.00~500.00V/20A LCD Multifunction Panel Meter AC 110V 220V 380V Multimeter/Monitor/Tester 6 in 1 with Built-in Shunt to a 220V circuit breaker and measure the energy usage in kwH and if so, do you have instructions on how to make the connections?
Hello Joe,
We have replied your question in another post.
Best regards.
To whom it concerns,
I need the manual for the following:
