I want to measure the current output of a car alternator up to 100 amps. I don’ need the voltage. I can use my multimeter for voltage. I bought a drok 200141 but it requires one side of the shunt to be connected to ground ( -) in the circuits return path. Not possible seeing as I am using the shunt in the + output of the alternator ( one side of the shunt connects to the alternator + output and the other side of the shunt connects to the + of the car battery ).
I see there are a few products ( 090912 or 090907 ) that seem to show the shunt as being independent of the meter power supply voltage. Where can I get the instruction sheets for these two ?
Any other product recommendations?
