    Hi:

Just received my buck regulator from Amazon (SKU-090029). Worked for about 10 minutes, and now there is no output voltage.
I have a laptop poser supply (DC 16.6 volts) input. I was using a 1/2 string of 3825 LED’s as output. Set output at about 8 volts and let run for a few minutes. Seems OK so I went for dinner. When I came back, the lights were out and there is no output voltage (0.02VDC on multimeter).
If I change output voltage the display shows the figure that I set correctly, but after it flashes 3 times, voltage display shows “0.1” with still 16.6 VDC input.
    Any suggestions?

    Hello D. DOyle,
    Thank you for writing in.
This product is compatible with constant voltage not constant current and the LED is drived by constant current.
Therefore, it is not suitable for using LED as output, otherwise the chip of the product will be burnt.
If you adopts LED as the output, since there is protection with the product, the product will be OK in a short time, but it will also burn if connect with the LED for a long time.
As your description, the chip of the product may be burnt.
    Hope this can help you.
    Best regards
