I have the 091016 with 14v input, adjusted the voltage pot to 12.6v, and attempting to adjust the amperage to 3a by short-circuiting the output with multimeter attached. No matter how much I turn the amp pot in either direction, the multimeter shows 2.4a always.
I am following the instructions in this instruction document. I have this image (see link https://amzn.to/2S7cfwq ) of how I have it set up. Am I doing something wrong, or might I have a faulty amp pot?

Hello btmurrell Participant,
Did you short the multimeter probes with alligator clip? From this picture, we are sorry it is hard to confirm if output is shorted.
Besides that way, can you short the output with heavy lead wire and then adjust current?
Any more questions, please kindly let us know.
Best regards
Thank you for replying… Yes, we shorted the multimeter leads with a double-ended aligator clip.
As an alternative, just now, I tried shorting it with 12awg solid copper, and alterntiavely, also tried 24awg solid copper. To short it, similar to the picture provided earler, I put the two leads of the multimeter into the output terminals of the 091016, and shorted directly across those leads. In all cases, the multimeter is reporting steady 2.3a.
Other thoughts?
Thanks!
