Greetings – besides getting a non-threaded brass standoff, I do not seem to have the ability to adjust the current (amps) on the potentiometer. I have tried 3 different power supply devices. Amps seems to stay a .019 to .024 in and out. I have tried shorting the load leads to try to reset by no change. Power supply devices have amps from 1.5 to 5 (but again only showing .019 in or out.
Before returning to Amazon as broken, I wanted to check with you first.
Hello D Avona,
Can you regulate current when short the output terminal? Please kindly notice converter can only set a limit for current. Actual output current mainly depends on load.
Assume output current is set as 2A, load only draw 1A, actual output current is just 1A. But it will not draw more than 2A in that case.
Best regards,
DROK
D AvonaApril 27, 2021 at 11:12 amPost count: 0Hello – I am unable to set a limit rate after shorting. I am unable to set a current limit at all.
Using 3 different power sources (on DC jack and the screw terminals) only allows .023 amps on IN regardless of power source. So OUT shows that as well and I am unable to adjust. It seems IN is limiting how much current is being allowed and I am unable to change this.
D AvonaApril 27, 2021 at 12:07 pmPost count: 0Update – ok, I was having an issue trying to adj amps when shorting as it would OCP when trying to step down. I was able to finally lower amps after shorting and quickly lowering amps after several times. I think I understand this device now. This device is for Voltage adjustments – up/down and is not for current adjustments (up/down) – you can set a limit for current but that is it, correct? Thus the statement using “voltage regulator” and “voltage reducer”?
If I wanted the ability to adjust current as well as voltage, what device would do this? Seems the B089ND7PTH would allow adjustments of amps as well as voltage.
