I was hoping to use one of these units to monitor the output of my VariAC. Trying this I found that the unit would only work down to about 61V AC before dropping out. Turning the back light off I can get to 31V AC. Is there a way that the meter can be powered from an independent DC supply and possibly read reliably down to less than 10V AC? The picture in the advert for this unit showed a reading of 10.71V AC If I recall correctly.

I bought two of these meters as I wanted to also monitor the AC voltage from a power amplifier into my dummy load. I’m using an analogue 150V AC meter at the moment but it’s clunky and not elegant! 🙂
