I have a D69-30 panel meter. Back light works fine. I Applied 12vdc pos. to pin 1, 12vdc neg. to pin 2, no read out. I reversed the polarity and get EEE -1 for a display. Is this a bad meter? I need the meter ASAP and ordered another one from Amazon yesterday. Part # 090749, ASIN B00CHX7ZVA

At the same time, I applied 12vdc pos. to pin 1 & 12vdc neg. to 2 and all I had was a backlight, no readout. While 3 & 4 were still connected, I reversed polarity to pin 1 & 2. That is when I received the EEE -1 display. Is this a defective meter or is it wired incorrectly.

Thank you for your message.
The module needs isolated power supply which means the power supply terminal and the measuring terminal should be isolated, or the meter will be burnt. Could you please send us an email to service at droking dot com to tell us how you install the module? It is better that you can send us some photos of the installation.
With your help, we can consult to our technician and find out a solution more effectively.
Best regards -
