Hi,
For an off grid solar pump (24 volt, 380 watt) powered directly by 2 x 250 watt solar panels, I am looking for a timed relay, that can turn the pump on for about 1 hour a day. The pump is directly connected to the solar panels so there is no controller or battery in between. the pump basically starts working once the output voltage and power is suffient.
Since there is no battery in the system the timer should be powered by an external small battery to keep the clock powered. My question is whether the product in the link or another one will be able to do the job. and how should it be wired for such a job.
I hope someone can help me to figure this out.

I still have the following concern. As the pump is in a remote location, There is no other power source than the solar panels. As the item needs to keep the correct time, I assume it uses the small internal battery is for that. How long will it be able to keep operating more or less on a small battery like that? If its one year or more it should be fine but if its less it becomes a bit impractical..
Looking forward to you answer!
