Hello I’m trying to power my raspberry pi using the drok buck converter. I am able to set the voltage to whatever i please which is set to 5.18V. The current however will not go above 0.2A. To power the raspberry pi fully i need 3A. I noticed it says the current is adjustable but i am not able to do so for some reason. In the section about adjusting current in the manual i have done that (short circuited the output and it allowed me to adjust the ADJ-I to the 3.0A i want. But when i plug the actual thing into my raspberry pi it supplies 5.18V but only 0.2A. I read that it is supposed to adjust to the load but it will not change and i havent found a way to fix it. Any help would be appreciated. I’m using the GPIO ports to power the raspberry pi (5v and ground).

    Hello Evan Waldie,

Please kindly notice current adjustment is different from voltage adjustment. Most of converters just  give a limit on load current, that is to say that preset current  is the maximum value instead of fixed value.  If your load can only draw 0.2A in that case, actual output is just 0.2A. But load current will be not over 3A, you have set it as maximum limit.

For any more questions, please let us know.

    Best regards.
