I installed a Drok small little digital volt meter, 2 wire, DC 3-30v, red bright LED, panel mounted meter to measure voltage in a 24 v system on my boat. The first meter lasted 2 weeks and failed. I installed a replacement meter of the same spec and it last 2 days and failed. The meter is blank with no readout in both cases. What could be the problem?

Best regards.RichardOctober 19, 2017 at 8:37 pmPost count: 0ASIN Number: B00C2NQ83Q The black wire is connected to the negative post on the battery. The red wire is connect to the on terminal of an on/off switch for the 24 volt DC system. When the on/off switch is in the off position the meter does not get power. When the on/off is switched on, the meter shows the voltage in the system. Both meters work ok, both only lasted a couple of weeks, before they went blank.
Thanks,
Rich
