<p style=”text-align: right;”>Hello, I recently purchased a couple of your step up converter 3.7 to 5v. I wanted to know if I can supply voltage to the output to act as a charging port? I want to bury both the 1s lipo and the converter under carbon fiber wrap and if I can’t charge through the output of the converter I will need to add a sepersep pigtail to the battery itself. Will adding this pigtail damage the converter? It will receiving 5v from a charger. Otherwise I would have to incorporate a switch to disable the converter while charging. Space is at a premium and the less components involved the better.</p>
I have a converter that I took from one of these cell phone backup packs that you can charge as well as discharge. But the output is only 1a. I need 2a min.
Can you produce a converter that has higher then 2a (possibly 3amp) and also provided a charging input??
Hello Brad mason,
Thanks for writing in.
Would you please tell us teh product code or product link so that we can check which item it is?
As per your description “supply voltage to the output to act as a charging port”, do you mean input 5v to output port? That is infeasible by any ways. We are sorry we don’t have such item.
Best regards
Jerry gregoryJune 10, 2019 at 8:18 pmPost count: 0I ordered the 6 to 12 volt converter through amazon for my 48 plymouth p15. Instructions were vague. When trying to instal it to my 6 volt positive ground car.it smoked and fried. The schematic on the back showed to attatched red to positive and black to ground. I did that and got no result. Hooking it ti the hot side cooked the unit and melted the wires.
Hello Jerry gregory,
Would you please kindly tell us which item it is? Is it this one? https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01L90B3RI/ref=as_li_tl?tag=proeng-20
Did you only connect input red wire and black? To check what problem it is, is it convenient for you to take some images to show the connnection?
You can upload here or send it to Service@droking.com
Wait for your reply.
Best regards.
