DC051 wiring options

I bought a 20A D.C. meter with internal shunt and a 50A D.C. meter with external shunt. 20A meter works great, but I don’t need the 50A capacity of the external shunt version. Can the 50A meter be rewired to work like the 20A version, or does it lack the internal shunt? Thanks!

It’s regretted the meter with external shunt can’t be wired up like the meter with bulit in shunt.Hope you can understand.
