I want to use this to test a 4-20 board that I think may be bad. How do I do this?

I also recently purchased this 4-20mA generator, is there a manual or any documentation on the device? On the back left side top and bottom there are 2 buttons, what are these for? Also, just wanted to check, if supplied with 24VDC will this device provide a “powered” 24VDC 4-20mA signal.

    Hello jessie,
    Thanks for writing in.
We think you are talking abou S1 and S2 button. In general, you don’t need to use them. They are used for calibration.
If you input 24V DC power supply, the impedance range of output load is between 0-800 Ohms. It can provie 0-10V 4-20ma signal.

    Hi there,

I couldnt resist and I pushed the buttons and screwed up my calibration. could you let me know how to fix it please? It reads correctly when outputting 20mA, but it outputs 8mA when the display shows 4mA.

    Thank you,

    Tom

Using the current source to feed into a vfd analog input one with an impedance of 500 ohms the other being 250 ohms.  When I feed 24v to the unit and setup the drive to look for a 0-20mA or 4-20mA signal the meter does not match the meter reading in the drive.  Is there an easy way to impedance match and have it function same readings on both displays.  I see the source can also be set for 4-20mA itself from the default 0-20mA.  How is this done, assuming with calibration switches but more assistance would help.

    Cordial saludo

    Hello Alberto,
    Thanks for writing in.
Is it convenient for you to take a video to show us the whole wiring and display? You can send video to our service emails(service@droking.com)
And how large is your signal impedance?

I have recieved a DROK 4-20mA Signal Generator, DC 12-30V, Amazon Order No    B071CJSVL6.

Do you have a wiring diagram for this – there is only two connections on the back. So if these are for the 4-20mA signal out where is the 12-30v DC power in connections ?
