I need to monitor the current draw on my 10,000 watt standby generator which produces up to 50 amps at 240v 2 phase 60cycle electrical power.  The subject meter (available thru Amazon Canada) along with the DROK 100A/100mA AC Current Transformer, Mini clip-on split core coil appears to meet my needs very elegantly.  There is however a warning “Note” in the description that the meter is designed for “50 cycle city electricity” and warns against use on square-wave output of inverter and modified sine wave circuits.  The generator is not an invertor but the sine wave characteristics are not specified.  Any advice would be welcomed.
