    I am trying to display the amps generated from my wind generator to the house 12 volt batteries on my sailboat. I bought the above unit and a shunt from Amazon. The units arrived with no wiring instructions. The ammeter has red, black, blue and yellow wires. Can you send me a wiring diagram please. Also, do I need to step the 12 volt power supply down?

    Hi Carl,
    Thank you for writing in.
    The working voltage of the meter is 5V, so if the power supply is 12V you need to step it down.
