Hello,
From the printed manual included in the package (different from manual linked on Amazon, printed manual generally seems better English) page 5 states this:
“OUT” arrow: when the arrow behind “OUT” is green and points
to the left, current is flowing in, the number of AH will increase
with time; when the arrow behind “OUT” is red and points to the
right, current is flowing out, the number of AH will decrease with
time.I think there are several reversals in this sentence, I think it should say:
“OUT” arrow: when the arrow next to “OUT” is green and points
to the RIGHT, current is flowing into the BATTERY, the number of AH will DECREASE
with time; when the arrow next to “OUT” is red and points to the
LEFT, current is flowing OUT of the BATTERY, the number of AH will INCREASE with
time.I have the Positive battery wire entering transformer loop from connector side, and exiting on the back, i.e. positive wire from the battery is inserted into the transformer in the direction of the arrow embossed on the transformer. In other words, opposite direction as Image 2. Paragraph above Image 2 describes the image as showing “discharging mode”.
Do you agree with my re-write of the instructions?

I suppose definition of charging and discharging depends on which way the current flows through the transformer. But, maybe break this question into smaller pieces. The manual says ““OUT” arrow: when the arrow behind “OUT” is green and points to the left,….when the arrow behind “OUT” is red and points to the
right,”On my unit the arrow is RED when it points to the left and the arrow is GREEN when it points to the right. Do you agree?
