It reads when I connect it directly to the batteries, but it does not turn on when plugged into a 48-volt connector attached to the batteries. Voltage is there and correct at the connector, per a voltage meter. A light goes on inside the meter but the unit is not powered on.
The other thing is that the batteries were just charged and while the meter shows 50.4 volts on the 48v setup, why would it show only 81% remaining?
Thanks
Hello Matt Langenbach,
If battery type is not progaram correctly, percentage reading is also not correct. You can refer to this instruction

And what kind of 48-volt connector it is? If possible, would you like to take some images to show how it is and connection?
Best regards.

If this is the case, why is it reading an incorrect %?
I tried to find something on Youtube to calibrate it but there was nothing I could find.
Thank you.

Do you mean menu 3 ? Please kindly notice if you have programed menu 1, it is not necessary to program menu 3. If you can’t still make it work, would you like to take some images or video to show yoru operation?
With more information, we can find out what wrong it is.
Best regards.

I do not have time to be doing all of this. Please provide a phone number where I can call and talk to someone once and for all
