Hello,
Is it possible to monitor the energy comsuption of 4 different rooms by using a common 12VDC battery supply?
I explain:
There is a central 12VDC battery supply powered by solar panels. This battery is used to supply 4 different rooms. I’m looking for 12VDC ennergy meter which can be used for each room to record its energy comsuption.Can I use 4 of this this DROK unit, for example?

Is any recommandation to provide?
Thank for your help.

Hello Félix,
Yes, the product can work for your application but the operating values and the measuring values of your application should be within the values of the product.
Here are the parameters of the product:
Parameters:
Working Voltage: 6.5 ~ 100VDC
Measuring Range: 6.5 ~ 100VDC
Rated Power: 20A/2000W
Measuring Accuracy: 1.0 gradeTest range and display format:
Power Range: 0~2kW
within 1kW, display 0.0~999.9W;
above 1kW, display 1000~2000W.
Energy Range: 0~9999kWh
within 10KWh, display 0~9999Wh;
above 10kWh, display 10~9999kWh.
Voltage Range: 6.5~100V(display 6.50~99.99V)
Current Range: 0~20A(display 0.00~20.00A)Note:
This module is suitable for indoor, please do not use outdoor.
Applied load should not exceed the rated voltage or current.
Wiring order can’t be wrong.Hope this can help you.

Thanks for your quick answer which is very helpful.
In the case the load should exceed 20A, may I use a 50A modul with external shunt?
Does the parallel circuit influence the measurement due to the fact the shunts will be in that case in parallel? The resulted value of the shunts will be R/4. Is it correct?
Could you please provide a drawing how to connect the four moduls with external shunt? It should be great
Best regards
Hello Félix,
If the measuring current is over 20A, you should use the 50A module with external shunt.
The shunt should be connected series to the negative of the load.
The value of the shunt is 50A/75mV.
Here is the wiring diagram of the 50A module:
Hope this can help you.
