Power meter operation

My 6.5 –100volt, 50/100 amp panel meter has an apparent defect in that backlight off readings look normal, but turning on the back light disables the amp, watt, and watt-hr readings by sending them to “0”. Turning off the backlight restores the readings. Am I missing something in the button functions?

Help?

Hooked up circuit to video the failure as you requested. Could not duplicate malfunction!!
The readings do not extinguish when activating backlight. Perhaps all is well. I am finishing the full installation and we respond if needed. Thank you for kind attention.

All we do is want to find out what was wrong.
As we can’t see how it is, it’s hard to make sure whether it is the item problem or other problems, for example, the wiring, the load and etc.
Or is it convenient for you to take some pictures to show the wiring?
