I am using 3, 100 amp. ammeters in my solar system. Two on load and they work without a problem.
I just had the ammeter with 100 amp. shunt to monitor power work well for a week and today it failed, with the readout first losing some letters and numbers and the quitting all together. The only difference is that the solar panels start out at zero voltage and then as the sun rises the meter sputters on and begins to work at the required minimum voltage. I will replace the meter, but I am concerned the meter may be unreliable when it starts under voltage. If this way of using the DROK ammeter with startup at zero voltage more prone to failure? I have an ammeter from another manufacturer which has work for years.
Thank you,
