I purchased “DROK Boost Buck Converter 9V-36V to 12V 5A 60W Aluminium Shell Waterproof Auto Step Up Down Voltage Regulator 12V Volt Transformer for Car Audio Solar Power System LCD Television LED Display Screen” on Amazon on November 09, 2024 for the purpose of regulating voltage to my motorcycle GPS which accepts 12V supply, My accessory point on harness have a switched-off voltage 400 mV and once engine is fired-up voltage goes to 14.6 ~ 14,8 V.  Purpose of using this converter is to regulate this voltage to 12V to avoid damage to the connected component.

On my few test, I observed that converter works and provides 12V power on random times and sometime it fails to provide sufficient power of 12V to power the GPS, my yesterdays test drives were in around 60 degree Farenhite which is not too cold, Does the temperature affected the output?
