    Hi,

I got my VAT-1100 today and hooked it up.  I noticed it working well at one point.  Not sure at what point it stopped showing right seeming value, but I did notice this a few minutes ago the current value seemed odd.  I worry maybe it was from today doing a quick test turning my 700 watt microwave on for like 5 seconds with the meter hooked up.  Didn’t expect amps would be so high but I did see it say 113 and quickly I turned off microwave.  Since then I was also messing with menus on the device and wonder if somehow I put it in a mode like my old 20amp meter from you guys had where it would set a no-load default current offset.  I’m hoping I did that and am curious your input.  Right now it seems to operate with a -3.3amp offset (that’s reading w/ no power being used)

    Thanks

    Tom

I ordered a 200 amp rated model and am planning to switch to that.  Let me know if I should throw away this prior one that I fear is broken, but maybe isn’t and just I have to trigger it clearing a no-load offset value.
