I just bought a:
DROK® Voltmeter Ammeter Volt Amp Multimeter DC 4.5-30V 100A Voltage Currenr Monitor Ampere Voltage Combo Testing Meter Gauge V/A Panel Meter for Car Auto Motocycle Battery Power Indoor Outdoor Red/Blue Dual LED Display with Current ShuntCan you send me a wire diagram for using this meter? It has three wires.

Black wire(COM): the black wire is the common wire or ground wire
Red wire(PW+): red wire is power supply wire for the meter and also signal wire of voltage measurement(ensure voltage between red and black wire
is less than 30V)
Yellow wire(IN+): the yellow wire is current input terminal and should be connected to rear end of tested device(if you only use voltmeter, please
connect yellow wire with black wire to avoid digits on ammeter flashing due to external interference)

I will be using this meter to monitor an auxiliary battery in an automotive application for radio gear. The aux battery will be on an isolation switch, allowing the vehicle charging system to charge it when closed, but run the radio gear isolated from the charging system when open. Since the meter will not measure negative current (charging), I will need to include a switch to isolate the meter when the aux battery is charging. Looking at the diagram, it looks like that switch should be placed on the common black wire between the shunt and the meter. Do you agree? Thanks.

I have a Voltage Sensitive Relay (VSR) to isolate the vehicle battery from the auxiliary battery, when the engine is not running. The VSR has 2 separate connectors leading to the Pos(+) Aux Battery and Pos (+) Main Battery terminals. My connections to the VSR are 2AWG cables. I also have a 2AWG cable running directly between the negative (-) Terminals of the 2 batteries. I also have the Drok DC 4.5-30V/100A Voltage Current Monitor with 3 small wires (Red/Black,Yellow) and Shunt. Is this the correct meter for what I want to do? Using your wiring diagram, I assume the device under test would be my auxiliary battery. Can I use one of the connectors on the VSR for the red wire from the meter or do I need a separate wire between the 2 batteries pos (+) terminals? What size wire is recommended for all the various connections? The 3 wires on the meter are quite small but the large connectors on the shunt imply a much larger wire/cable.
Hi, the 3 wires on the meter is ok, they are just signal wires and without a large current flow. the power of the meter is taken directly from the test circuit, so the red wire should connect to the positive of the auxiliary battery. It’s better if you can send us your hand painted wiring?

Vehicle Starting Battery
2 Gauge Wire from Vehicle Starting Battery Positive (+) Terminal to Battery Doctor(VSR) Main Battery Connector
Battery Doctor (Voltage Sensitive Relay/Battery Isolator has 2 connectors Main and AUX
2 Gauge Wire from Battery Doctor AUX Connector to Auxiliary Battery Pos (+) Terminal
Auxiliary Battery 12 Volt, 95Amp hours
2 Gauge Wire from Auxiliary Battery Neg (-) Terminal to Vehicle battery Neg (-) terminal
So what size wire/cable should I use to connect between my two batteries and the large connectors on the shunt? From your wiring diagram, this would be connected to the negative posts on each battery. If the current is going through the shunt does this wire need to be 2 gauge as I am using for the battery connections? And if the current is not going through the positive terminals can I use a very thin wire for the connection between the positive terminals of the 2 batteries and the red wire on the meter?
BlakeAugust 28, 2015 at 12:08 amPost count: 0I have purchased the 10A 0-100v voltmeter/ammeter. I have tried to follow your schematics but can not get the voltage to read any voltage. I have the meter powered by hooking up the VCC(red) and GND(black) wires to a 12vdc power supply and the meter turns on no problem. Now to measure the voltage from another 12vdc power supply i have the wire marked I+(red) on the board connected to positive of supply. can you confirm what should be done with the I-(black) wire and the Vin(yellow) wire in order to read the voltage from the second power supply?

I bought from amazon the 3.5-30Vdc 10A VAmeter but there are no wiring diagram
I sorted out the voltage and supply to the unit (thin black, thin yellow and red) so the Vmeter works OK but my question is about the Ameter: is the thick black connected to the thin black or are the Vmeter and Ameter totally independent?
A schematic supplied WITH the unit will be a good idea

Mike LloydAugust 24, 2016 at 6:19 pmPost count: 0I have purchased the DROK® Digital Multimeter DC 6.5-100V 100A Voltage Amperage Meter and connected correclty as a shunt to my motorhome battery in the engine bay it works fine thank you. What I would like to do is to change it around and connect it so that when I am driving I can measure the actual current being provided by the alternator which is rated at a maximum output current of 70 amps. Can you explain how I need to reconfigure the meter wiring to monitor alternator volage and output current please? I have purchased 4 of the 20 amp versions ot your meters for other projects and I would like to say that they are excellent meters and work well. Thank you – Mike

I bought two of the “Voltage Amp Meter DC, DROK Battery Monitor DC 0-300V 200A, Ammeter Voltmeter for Solar System Setup Power Energy Capacity Volt Current Detector Panel with Hall Sensor’s” from Amazon. I need a replacement wiring harness for the power side. Can I purchase two and pay the shipping and have you send them to me?
