I received your YB27VA (100A) volt amp panel meter ordered through amazon.ca.  It’s missing the voltage sensor ground wire.  Is it common with the current sensor ground wire?  Also the instructions don’t correspond with the item since there is no 220vac power input on the device I received.

    Hello,

Is it this item? #100177, https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B00GLKQOKI?ref=myi_title_dp

Thre are only three wires. You should receive wrong instruction, please refer to below wiring diagram.

Thanks for posting the correct instructions.  Wired as in the diagram, the meter displayed the more or less right voltage but displayed current as 0.0.  Hours later I noticed that it was displaying a reasonable value and changed when I changed the load.  The next time I looked at it, it was back to 0.0.  Generally, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t.  There aren’t any loose connections and jiggling doesn’t affect it.  I think it’s defective and should be replaced.

    Hello,

Would you like to show us your connection by images? If it is hard to show the whole connection by images, you can try to draw a simple diagram. We need to check where the wires go to. And how lare is the actual current?

    Best regards.

I connected your meter as shown in the diagram you sent.   I can’t show you a useful photo of it because the shunt is 2 meters away from the panel meter under the building, but this diagram shows the wiring too:

The highest current I’ve seen it display is about 13A, which seems reasonable, knowing the load.  Often it displays 0.0A even though the load is non-zero.

    Hello,

In your diagram, the PW+ and IN +  is  reversed. We want to confirm if the actual connection is like that.

And when it display 0 A, how large is the actual load current in that case?

In addition, did you hook up meter with two small screws on shunt ?

The PW+ and IN+ are not reversed.  The PW+ goes to the positive side of the batteries and the IN+ goes to load side of the shunt, as in your diagram.

I haven’t measured the actual current when the when the meter displays 0.0A, but I know it is not 0.0A because I see loads on at the same time, eg, 1A radio + 0.4A light + 2.2A iPad charger.

Yes, the shunt is in the circuit as shown in the diagram, with COM on the small screw on the battery side of the shunt and IN+ on the small screw on the load side of the shunt.

Note that the problem is intermittent, ie, the current display is correct some of the time, and wrong some of the time.

    Hello,

As this is 100 A scale , we just wonder if the actual load  current is too small, so it can’t display actual current. It would be apprecaited you can check the actual load current.

As described above, I’m getting inconsistent readings from your YB27VA (100A) volt amp panel meter.  Sometimes the meter shows 0.0 A when the actual current is significantly more than zero and other times it shows a non-zero value when the actual current is also non-zero but different.

    Non-zero meter reading
    zero meter reading
