I'm using this to step down voltage from a 24V power supply to run 12V components in a DIY CNC. This allows me to use the same power supply unit for both the stepper drivers (which require 24V) as well as the other components in the build that can only run on lower voltage. The converter is excellent, with a great screen and well soldered components. Accuracy of the voltage output is excellent as verified by a multimeter. |
This module worked great for my needs!

This thing works great if you need to change a DC voltage (within the specs). I'm using it to convert 18v battery to 12.5v for a couple of 12v inverters and a few USB chargers. From a single 18v lithium ion battery I was able to output 12.5v to run a 95w inverter, 150w inverter, AC 4 Port USB charger with 2 Android phones charging, 1 Bluetooth speaker running/charging, 1 usb camera, Alexa, 1600 lumen 15w LED, and it was only using 3 amps. After testing I'm going to use this to power my Nvidia Jetson Nano on my robot for a little mobile AI. I'm going to put another heatsink on it and add active cooling to allow it to use the upper end of its output power. On a side note, with Lithium Ion or Lipo you have to be sure that you have a Low Voltage Cut Off so the battery does not drop below a certain voltage and my battery has this but I have not had time to validate it that it works. It's nice that you can power on/off output and switch between input/output voltage and amperage to monitor what's going on. According to my Fluke 97 this unit was pretty accurate with both input/output voltage and amperage. After getting this I immediately lost the manual so I'm happy that I didn't let the magic smoke out because once you do you can't get it back in. ;P Remember, diodes and fuses are your friends and I still need to add an output fuse before my next higher load tests... |

i'm using unit as 12v 3 Amp battery charger and so far works very good, without overheating, hope it will stay that way. A+++ |

This is a small and nice constant-current/constant -voltage controller. It has been integrated with a 30V 15A power supply. The controller comes with a diode for reverse EMF protection. The voltage drop across the diode was 0.5V. Have used it to charge a lead acid battery at 7A (not max out yet). The heat sink did feel hot but was fine. Next test was with an AC space heater at about 9.5 ohms as shown in the attached picture. With a 30.32V input, the max voltage output was 30.16V. The controller measured (and displayed) only the output current at 3.14 amps. I recommend this product based on few hours of verification tests. |
Not as accurate as they say.

Not as accurate as they say. Current doesnt register until 20ma and power doesnt show until 0.26w. CC pot is very sensitive at the low end and hard to get a stable low current. Worked for the rangers I've used so far. |
